Jim and Jon – Brothers enjoying a fishing trip here on Lake of the Woods

The temps dropped down to the negative 20’s and the fish bite slowed down

but despite the poor fishing report Jim and Jon are giving it their all.

It took a couple days, but the fish bite has improved over the last 24 hours or so. One Day at a Time!

 

Time for a new fishing spot

Dale is always thinking ahead. There is always the possibility where the circumstances change, whether ice conditions or change in the bite.  Could be a number of reasons. That time has come and we are moving to Dales planned next fishing location which he has been preparing for several weeks now.

Yesterday and again today with the help of our amazing team – Matt, Jacob and Tom S. helped Dale move day houses and sleepers. Each house takes 30- 60 minutes from the old to the new spot!  Today I believe the move 5-6 houses – 3 guys!  Amazing job. On top of the guest check outs, day house guests morning ck ins and evening check outs, Guest visits by Dale he also grooms our trail to our houses.

Dale spends many an hour not only taking care of each of our guests in each sleeper and day house everyday, in addition grooming and maintaining a trail that we transport our guests on.  He, along with Matts help the trail is maintained and groomed each day!

Working hard to give them a comfortable ride to and from their fish house.   He likes to put the final run just before dark on our last trip with our dayhouse guests. This is because with no traffic after his final pass sets up a nice smooth trail for morning.

The hot hook shared by our Guests who spent Christmas on the ice with us! Other shared colors or style of lire was: wonder bread, plain red hook, green, red glitter, the coffin.
