on our Harbor Construction!!

We so appreciate the great help our team member, Tom,

 gives to us each week,

what a blessing!

We are working on constructing the channel from the harbor towards the lake and will be lining the interior walls with Geo-textile fabric – finishing with rock armoring.  Dale and Tom have just done a remarkable job with all the dirt work.  The calculations and laser work and then digging and moving dirt to designed specifications – just an amazing experience.

North Star Electric here and moved the Light Pole to it’s new shoreline location just a short distance to the West!

Dale’s On Lake of the Woods will have 4 Short-Term-Stay Campsites available this Ice Season

• STS Campsites are available by reservation only.  You may book 1 night up to 14 nights-longest stay in STS campsite is a 2 week stretch
• Nightly camping fee + Access Fee @ arrival + Electricity – Taxes already included in all rates

(Rate change was effective 3.31.24 for the 2024/2025 ice season and will remain at this rate until 3.31.2025)

You will have full access to Fish Cleaning Building 9 a.m. – 9 p.m.

– Bathroom’s available 24 hours and cleaned daily

-Disposing of Garbage included in camping rate

We do not have food or beverage sales – Resort 4/10th mile next door has full supper club and on/off sale liquor.

Friday 9.13.2024

We welcomed our Guests who arrived last evening

Campers set up and the campfire was going just as the sun set. 

What a beautiful site to see that campfire glow as the day turns to night. 

I love my job of stacking firewood! Makes it easy with the Bobcat!!

Our Guests have been enjoying some nice day’s of fishing. Vicki out fished the boys with 2 catch and released of 21inch walleyes yesterday 9.12.24.  Way to go Vicki!! Windy today so they headed for the river.  We had a wonderful time with John, Clint, and Paul this week, sad to see them go – but boy did these guys have a blast fishing!  We were surprised with a meal of cooked battered fish for lunch on Tuesday- what a treat! Thank you, guys!!

John – Clint – and Paul enjoying CS#5. 3 buddies enjoying camping-fishing-relaxing. Saddened that one of their good friends passed away leaving a hole in the trip but will always remember their times together. Making the best of each day. Sorry for your loss guys!

We enjoyed a quality time at the beach bar with our Guests, we try to make it for the sunset every night. 

Tomorrow is our Saturday Treat Day at the Beach Bar- We haven’t picked a time as of yet, but we have been picking 6 p.m. after everyone is in from a day of fishing.

Our Guests Pat and Karla who headed home yesterday left us a wonderful bag of apples from their apple tree and I am going to make my Mom’s Apple Crisp for our Guests for our Saturday Treat Day.

A Huge Thank you to our Team Member TOM S.  – he gave us 3 awesome days of help this week and we are

so blessed by him.  THANK YOU SO MUCH TOM!!!!!

Dale and Tom have made good progress on the interior walls of the harbor this week.  Dale is sifting dirt/cleaning rocks as he continues to work armoring the interior of the harbor walls.

Making progress on each side of the harbor channel.  East side is about three-quarters completed and Dale and Tom S. started working on the West side yesterday and will continue today. 

We have a little rain going on this morning.
