Beautiful Fall Morning

I cannot tell you the Peace that you can feel early morning sitting down at the shoreline.  The fog is so thick you cannot see past the channel of our harbor.  You can only listen to what is going on around you!  The engine of boats- fisherman going out for the catch of the day, once again searching to be able to enjoy fresh fish for supper tonight or maybe today is the day one catches that trophy fish that has been a long time coming.

Eagles are calling out from the west, Geese from the South headed over the open water, crows cackling in the woods behind me.

But the wonderful sound of the water just softly coating the rocks that protect our shoreline.

To top it off my favorite number has been “#9” since I was a little girl and today is 9.9.2025. I will treasure this morning as I sit alone taking it all in with a great cup of coffee feeling so at Peace.

Cannot see past the channel but to take time to listen to what is going on all around me- so amazing. So glad I took the time to come down to the lake and enjoy all of what is so beautiful. Our camping guests are already out fishing this fog covered morning.

Fishing update from our Guests

8.28.25

Garrett headed home yesterday with a few days of quality time on the water bright and early and in shortly before darkness. Several slot enjoyed his time the water, did report yesterday, Thursday, a little bit slower.

Some of our camping guests are going out between shore and Gull Rock just pulling plugs or night crawler harness’s. Some guests are traveling up in the NW Angle Mn and Canadian waters from here on the calmer days.

New light/fan’s in every sleeper!

New light/fans in every sleeper!

We are taking out the center light and fan unit

and

replacing with a light/fan that screws into the light socket

1)Replacing all center light sockets and putting in the new light/fan!

2)Replacing the front, center, and back lights with white porcelain lamp socket!

 

 

3) Changing the lighting in the sleepers with new All-Weather/Barn 1-Light Metal Retrofit Ceiling Outdoor Light!

Cannot wait to have our guests enjoy our improvements.  We are also starting to replace the floor in one of our sleepers and hoping to get two other sleepers get a new floor and new carpet, wish us luck that we can make all these projects get to the finish line.
